Profab built 56 of these for the Corvette Challenge race series. They were identical cars which originally had sealed engines.

4+3 doug nash trans which is a Borg Warner super T-10 4 speed with an overdrive unit.

Does anyone know if Challenge cars are eligible for Vintage racing?

We had 2 from new at Young Chevrolet. I raced the Yellow 99 car on and off in the early days of CVAR. We would put dealer plates on them and drive them on the street.

CVAR will not let you race them, but SVRA, HSR and some of the other groups will. They turn up at their events quite often.

Coolest thing about them was their magnesium Dymags!
