Gifting Dad a 1969 Impala SS 427 convertible on his birthday

15 years ago my siblings and I did something pretty cool, we gave dad the car he discovered for his younger brother. Here's that video.

I met you dad because of this car and he is one of the most likable and humble human beings I have ever met. Always a pleasure to talk to and I look forward to seeing him at MCACN. What a great feeling it must have been to gift him this car and watch as he restored it. Thanks again for sharing the video.

That’s the same year 1976 I bought my 1969 Z24 4 speed convertible . I paid $500.00. It was only 7 years old and already had floor and trunk patches put in it. No surprise that being a Massachusetts car. It had a CE block in it dated 1971 with the original date coded heads on it. I still have the motor sitting on a engine stand. Unfortunately the car went to the junkyard and got crushed.

I had one as well that I bought in 1979. Mint body from California and sold it in 2008. Chad now owns it and is doing a frame off. Not for everyone but I think the Z24's are pretty cool myself.

Pretty cool.
How far along is the restoration?

Did you watch until the end? I had a restored shot in the last frame.
