Unrestored '65 Griffith 200, 289/4-sp, just awesome
Hard to find these cars period, and to find one in unrestored condition is nearly unheard of. Evidently the car was parked for quite some time after the diff failed.
Hope the new owner does some level of sympathetic restoration rather than an outright concours job. ----I bought a 1965 Griffith in 1970. Paid the princely sum of $2000. It happened to be one of 4 (I was told) 350hp dual quad Shelby engines. It was even the same color as this one, but with a tan gut. Most of them came delivered like this example with a 2-barrel 289. Mine was stupid fast and I constantly got in trouble with it. The passenger door would fly open going into a hard left turn. Several times I grabbed someone on their way out the door.....Bill S
