Very nice I just have to ask how do you get license plates from 1969 that I’ve never been used. I do have a car from Ontario and it’s at 69

Picked up a huge collection of Used & NOS Parts for 1967-69 Camaro and 1970 Chevelle just before X-Mas and these were in the collection. The gentleman had two different pairs and he gave me this set. I also have a pair of 1970 Plates but I kept those for my Garage Wall Art. Because they are NOS and never used I bet the ministry of transportation will allow to register them for your 69' car but not 100% certain.

I’m in New York so that would really just be for show

Just phone the Ministry of Transportation in Ontario and give them the plate number. They will tell you over the phone if the plates can be used under Ontario's Year of Manufacture plan.

I'm thinking he needs an Ontario address to register these "rare" plates. Don't think an out of province, including out of country resident could register them unless he wanted to hang them on a wall, and for $320USD/416 CAD

Just thinkin'....!?!

Costs for 2021 Personal plates in Ontario Canada, these are crappy vinyl stickers placed over metal FYI.

For passenger or commercial vehicles
2 to 8 characters (letters and/or numbers) without a graphic - $310
2 to 6 characters (letters and/or numbers) with a graphic - $336.40

1969 NOS Blue Plates I have price is fair, not easy to find 52 year old plates that are MINT. These also apply to people that collect license plates. Wall Art or Actual use still a bargain IMO.

I bought a pair of these off of Kijiji years ago (15?); still have the plates on the car and wrapper/envelope they came in. At the time, the seller had quite a few of the '69 plates. The ones with five characters have the best chance for registration. I had a mint pair with six characters and was told the number was registered to a snowmobile in Sioux Lookout, and would not become available until the number was not registered for a period of five years. If you are an Ontario resident, and purchasing with intent to register, simply contact the M.T.O. If you are purchasing for garage art, disregard. One thing is certain, these are N.O.S. and will never be made again.
