Great color, great options. Paperwork looks nice. Love to hear the Chevelle faithful chime in on this.

Nice ride. I am pretty sure this is the Chevelle that “Big Bill” from Scottsdale (am forgetting his last name at this time - Bruce, help me out here) had back in mid 2000’s. I remember him telling me his L78 was from L.I. and that the original parchment seats were preserved because the OO placed T-shirts over them. I knew it was low miles but thot it was more like 10-15K (but that is awhile ago!). This should be interesting to watch.

5k miles!?

Beautiful car! The original Frame Chevrolet building in Mineola, LI NY was still standing up until a few years ago when they tore it down to build a new Walgreens.

My ever-failing memory seems to recall a car exactly like this for sale in the NYC metro area about 20 yrs ago. But, I'm also thinking that car had a number of dings, dents, & scrapes on the exterior, possibly incurred as a result of use and abuse drag racing - either on the streets or at the track. That would go a long way toward explaining the uber-low mileage and the need for a complete engine rebuild. If this is that same car, it's had to have some paint work done. Also curious is the vast appearance difference in the door armrest bases.

That is the car I was thinking of Bill. May be a different but opted identically. The hard plastic usually yellows much more than the vinyl.

Steve/Bill - this rings a bell. I recall Big Bill wrestling with the ruff original paint and considering repainting the car. He didn’t bring it out to the Pavillions show because of the condition of the paint and unfortunately I did not get over to his house to see it.

Judging by the wear marks on the axle tubes, this car had ladder bars on it at some point. I would love to see the before pics in day-2 trim.
