Notice that it was a courtesy car that went to Hechler and then sold by Emrich.
Probably a parade car...

I noticed the Hechler connection, they had some dynamite muscle cars.

Not nit picking here, just curious....any ideas why the 396 and T400 would not be itemized options on the build sheet like they would have been in later years? Is this SOP on a 67 build sheet?

I'm not very familiar with the 67 big car build sheets. But that style sheet for a 67 Chevelle would have the L-- engine and M-- trans options listed at the bottom. But on this sheet you can see (near the torn off corner) the Trans code of CA which is TH400 behind a 396, and looks like the engine box to the left of that might have had L35 in it rather than (or maybe in addition to) the 2-letter engine suffix code. Odd way to handle that.
