'65 Impala SS #s 327/4-sp Project, Sitting Since '90
Looks like a desirable Impala here, ordered with good colors and options. The deterioration of the trunk floor makes me wonder what the rest of the underside looks like, but definitely worth a look if you're interested in restoring a '65. Cool car.

With the preponderance of rust everywhere else, I would bet my next SS check the floor is not "solid". I replaced the floor on a '65 at work a few years ago that the owner thought was "solid". All the supports underneath were toast and a previous person had layed new pans on top of the rust holes in the foot wells. Yep, it felt solid, until the carpet was pulled up. We rebuilt half the frame because of rust too.
This one is a total rust bomb and parts for a '65 are not easy to find. |
