Searching for ownership history NH Deepwater Blue Camaro

Hello all, interested in owner history of the 1967 Camaro L78 i bought in 1997. I bought the car in Methuen, MA, but all of the other previous owners were close to Derry, NH. My ownership trail ends in 1978. I've talked to that PO via email, he didn't seem to remember whom he bought it from. Love to see if anybody remembers the car, Epping, NH Drag strip wasn't far away, so i'm going to assume this area was chock full of these cars back in the day. Car was said to have been painted black when the last PO had it.

What I know about the car: SS/RS L78, Deepwater Blue with black standard gut.

Tail panel could have been changed from black to gold at one point, had tow tabs on the sub frame, so more than likely raced.

Rumored to had been driven from California by a gal.

I have the NCRS report and it says it was delivered to Seymour Chevrolet in Cambridge Ma. My Dad was a chevy dealer in Franklin, MA and remembers Seymour as he did business with them. He figures they went OOB in the mid 70's.

Hopefully that jogs someones memory, I would love any info especially pertaining to pre 1978.

Thanks guy!

Even though the oldest PO didn't know who he got the car from, did he recall where/when?
It's worth searching old MA and NH newspaper ads to see if anything jives, long shot but there's lots of L78 ads in this thread you can try cruising first...

If you haven't yet, there's a New England Dragstrip group on F'Book you can try @ this link...

Was your family dealership in Franklin 32-619 Sherman Chevrolet or something else?
Best of luck w/ your quest!

Thanks Pete, was hoping you would chime in! Whats the best way to access newspaper listings in MA/NH?

We did have "The Want Ads" which was popular back then to hunt cars/parts, don't suppose you know if their archives are available on line?

Yes, Sherman Chevy was where my dad was the GM. Lots of fun for me as a kid hanging out in the showroom and out back.

My Dad sold a new 67 Camaro to a couple in late 1966, they traded it in in 1979, that ended up being my first car....love to have that one back!

I use newspapers.com. Also try the local library as not all newspapers are on Newspapers.com, but the library may have copies on hand or on film.
