Proturing Built MuscleCars Autocrossing

Musclecars from the beginning got our competitive juices flowing. From drag strip, road courses to less demanding autocross. A newer segment of our hobby today is having a blast updating vintage musclecars with modern technology that can compete with todays cars, by incorporating upgraded suspensions and drivetrains. Also adding in modern conveniences

Here's an example of such an event, where old and new compete in their respective classes in autocross. Static events such as shows and dynamic events such as this keeps our hobby interesting and looks like a blast!!!!.

Just an aside, in my opinion modification to vintage musclecars should be on those that aren't historically significant.

Have to agree; although we do have the old "your car your choice" debate. But still, I cringe when a real, verifiable muscle car gets cut up.

Plenty of plain jane cars showing up that are great candidates for just such a purpose.

Well, unless they were cut up when new.

ZL-1 Camaro #33 124379N610732. Raced since new in Australia by Bob Jane. Last I knew it had the engine from #52 which he also owned. Recently restored to original racing trim.

#52 is long gone.
