Interesting '60 Impala 348/3-sp Stick Convertible
Neat options on this car. These seem to have increased dramatically in value over the past year...there was a 'barn find' version of this car with a 283 that crested $40k, which is just incredible.
Were those faux exhaust ports on the lower rear quarters offered in '60? First time I have noticed them. ----Bet the original air-cleaner will be expensive to replace, but maybe it's included. Those single 3 air-cleaners look bad. the original big 1 piece with a top fills out the engine compartment and just looks right! Pretty decent 60!.....Bill S

I don't know if the exhaust outlets are correct for this year, but they look silly with the chrome exhaust tips hanging down almost under them...:rolleyes2: Seems like some "Artistic license" with this one. |
I know I've seen those goofy 'exhaust port' things before, but don't know if they were a dealership Parts Dept. item or a JC Whitney/Warshawsky item. Whatever, they need to go away, along with the skirts.

This beautiful '58 had one on each side at a local show years ago too. https://hosting.photobucket.com/albu...080&fit=bounds |
