'70 #s L78 Nova
Neat color combo - and I like that the seller tried to make the old paint look as good as it can be (which is not great, judging by the pictures, but at least you know what you're getting).
Kudos to the seller for including a picture of the engine stamp (albeit not a great quality picture). The last owner kept this car for 48 years, according to the seller...wow. L78 Nova...
Of course this caught my eye...we had a 70 Autumn Gold one awhile back.
Paint certainly has some wear...not sure I understand the 6,000 mile claim though and the need for a new interior and suspension rebuild?? Perhaps it was stored poorly? "front end and under carriage was restored with all new bushings and steering components, seats restored to original" Would be interested to know about the transmission...what happened to the factory Muncie?? Front grill SS emblem looks upside down to me...perhaps it has been apart?? Pad stamp looks pretty good...looks like the carburetor has been changed. The one photo of the passenger side rear wheel opening shows a lot of spot welds...I would have to look at one of our survivors for comparison??? If the mileage is correct, it should be a pretty solid car...certainly worth taking a closer look. -wilma |
Hey Bill S - this reminds me of what I can remember of the gold L78 Nova you and Dad had back in 1980.........I think that had a black interior....and maybe was a 1969???? I do remember it was a bench seat, 4 speed, gold, L78 car.

Wow nice Nova with the L78 4 speed. That is a decent price for this sleeper.

I don’t know much of anything about Novas, but this car is 5 min away from me if anyone needs eyes on it.

Love that color combo, especially with the Custom interior. Rear seat upholstery looks like it's still the original, but front seat appears to be replaced. Maybe the front seat received the same rough treatment that the trunk lid weatherstripping got. Definitely looks like a pre-70 vintage Tachometer  Still appears like a nice car for the money.

I like a lot of aspects of this car and wish I had the room for it.
But I don't think the ad mentions original paint, that car has been repainted no? |
