'61 Impala SS 348/4-sp Convertible
Absolutely beautiful...sold just a month ago at Mecum Glendale for $148,500. Can't imagine there's any money to be made in this flip, but I'll be watching.

Wow!!

----Beautiful! There were two different horsepower ratings for the 348 in 61 and there is no mention of which one it is. It would be far rarer if it's the 350hp! Can anyone with more knowledge than me tell which one it is by looking under the hood???

I believe I see the front of a carburetor peeking out under the front of the air cleaner, so it must be a 3x2 induction setup. Can't imagine they offered more than one 348 engine with 3x2 induction in 61.....but I don't know what the HP rating would be on an engine so equipped. We need a Medium to communicate with Vern in the afterlife
EDIT: Per Terry Boyce's book "Chevy Super Sports 1961-1976" only the 350HP 348 had 3x2 induction in 61. |
That car is pretty close to perfection.
