Ford Am 8-track Anybody know what this fits?
 

This is an AM 8-Track player. It is a FoMoCo. Trying to get a year or years of manufacturing and application. I THINK it might have been in a Mustang. But that was over 40 years ago, and I can't remember. I did a little research online but didn't see one that matched this face exactly. I see repair stickers on it. Earliest one looks like 1972. Could yours be a dealer installed unit - account for the difference in appearance?

It looks like 67 Mustang with 67-68 Chevy knobs on it. There should be a code stamped on the side of the case that will tell you for sure.

1967 makes perfect sense. My friend had one and I had '65. He put in a new cassette player and gave this to me.
Mine doesn't have the channel select buttons. I looked and there is numbers all over it. You used to be able to tell by the capacitors. But I forget how to read the numbers.
Here is what I found in ink stamp.

Here is what I found stamped in the metal.
On the top 15D 40279 B0L
Left Side 10378 T7SM7
Right Side 40280 B01
Back Side - No Stamps in Metal

It’s the T7SM7 number. If you look closely it’s probably actually T7SMZ.

Based on the dated transistor’s I would say 1967 Model….
