Small Block Chevy Header to head bolts

Looking for recommendation on header to head securing bolts. I've always used the same 7/16 hex head bolts with a small flange. Curious if there are better alternatives. Thanks!

ARP reduced head bolts that use a 3/8” wrench are just amazing and will make you hate those ancient 7/16” header bolts! They come in SS or black oxide.

Is there a market for those old 7/16 header bolts? :)

I have a couple small cans of header bolts around here. I did prefer the 3/8" hex bolts. They are different lengths too and the longer ones held the torque set better, but they ALL need re-tightening 3-4 times after heat cycles. No memory if they came with header sets, or I bought them aftermarket.

Drill the heads for safety wire so they don't loosen.

I use ARP stainless steel bolts with 3/8 head. There are also socket head bolts that work better in some applications.

I use Allen headed bolts. Been using them for years with no problems....Joe

ARP now makes a 5/16 head.

That is what I use on my Stock Eliminator.
Once I tighten them, they do not come loose.
And I use Remflex gaskets. I've never had a leak.

I am waiting on the 3/8 bolts and have the Remflex gaskets ready to install. Thanks!
