1971 LS-6 Chevelle Factory Made

As if that claim isn't outlandish enough, and it was built at Oshawa.
One call to George Z. with the VIN# and it is all put into perspectve. This guy needs to be slapped. He's lucky it is even an LS-5.He is way overboard on his description of the entire car as a whole.Leather seats and correct 5500 redline Tach?

If there was a production 1971 LS6 Chevelle (big if) I would suspect it would have aluminum heads. The 1971 Corvette LS6 had aluminum heads. I don't believe Chevy would have a 71 Chevelle LS6 with iron heads and a 71 Corvette LS6 with aluminum heads.

Rick, don't be so quick to doubt this as being the real deal. It does have those 'rare' Chevelle LS-6 only 'Chevrolet' scripted valve covers. Those HAD to be for the LS-6....right? https://www.yenko.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

Did he ever respond to your e-mail 'inquiry'?

Re: 1971 LS-6 Chevelle Factory Made

I sent him a very polite email stating that because his Chevelle was built in Canada,it can easily be verified.Which I did pay for through Vintage Vehicle Services. They say it is an Original LS-5,M-22 car.
No LS-6,but still a desirable Chevelle.
The seller emailed me back saying "Maybe the VIN# he posted was wrong".So he will double check it.
Again, this guy needs to be slapped and grow up a bit.

Just wish we could get info on all Chevy cars.

Fords, Pontiacs, and GM of Canada Cars help cut out much of the BS.

You get these guys all the time. A few years ago, a guy here had a 1970 LS-6 Monte Carlo. All original  one of 12, blah blah blah. Contacted GM of Canada and paid my money. It was a SS LS-5. Still a nice car, but not what he was advertising it as. It's nice with the Canadian cars to make one phone call and get rid of the bullsh!t.

Seems</A> now he has the build sheet that in fact shows it at an LS% engine but states it was changed shortly after it was bought. OH WELL https://www.yenko.net/ubb/smilies/ima...ns/shocked.gif

Check and you will find that this is an LS5 car at best. The GM documentation won't back up his LS6 claim, nor will the build sheet. The L78 and COPO Chevelles came from south of the border as well.
