Re: 69 camaro reference guide
I'll never be that quick!!!!!!!!!!!! You might want to get Jerry MacNeish's "The definitive 1969 camaro Z/28-SS396 fact book" also a very good book at the same place.

Re: 69 camaro reference guide
I'd recommend Jerry's book over Hooper's. Hooper's has a lot of small errors throughout.

Re: 69 camaro reference guide
From my personal experience I would recommend obtaining all the available reference books on the market. I have most if not all. When I purchased Hoopers book, when it was first out, it led to me understand about "Little Hoss", and Fred Gibb. At the time I was only interested in 1967 Z28's. I remembered that info. when checking on an old race car. It turned out to be "Little Hoss", and within 5 minutes I had confirmed and purchased the car. Whatever info. available for those wanting to consume data should be aquired for future reference. I would recommend both above books, and others, check out Motorbooks, in Oseola, Wi. Many books list current owners of cars, another source of valuable information when deciding to purchase a vehicle, or uncover hidden treasures.

Re: 69 camaro reference guide
Check on ebay from time to time - they are on there all the time. All three of John Hooper's 1967-1969 Camaro books are on there right now. Craig.

68TopStock,
I am 100% with you. They ALL contribute something. Many of the pictures had clear shots of tracable licence plates as well. Awesome story about "Little Hoss"! |
Re: 69 camaro reference guide
I agree...by reading various camaro books you can sometimes cross reference information or find new info which was not mentioned in a previous book. When John Hooper was gathering info and photos for his book "The 1969 Camaro Reference Book From "A" to "Z" " ...he had asked if I could contribute some info or photos so I sent him about 15 photos of areas of my car (it's an automatic car) and he put a color photo in the book (page 71) and several other photos in chapter 24 "Yenko S/C" ( pages 265 & 267 )...I was glad I could help contribute even though my car is not 100% original. I had also sent a lamanated copy of the "Wanted" Phase III Camaro ad which he put on the last page of the "Motion Performance" chapter. ....so check out various books...you learn something new everyday! https://www.yenko.net/ubb/smilies/burnout.gif
