Hood insulation pad

My hood pad on the '69 Yenko is really nasty, dirty. Are there decent replacements available? Where is the best place to check? Is there more than one type? Are the repros from Classic industries O.K.? Is it possible to clean the original without it falling apart? Thanks for the help, Jim.

Ron Normann at McHenry Classic Car Parts has just got some new MOLDED pads made from an original. They are awesome. Try him at 815-363-7878

Mike, thanks for the info. Ron was great to talk to and very helpful. It sounds like the pads he has are fantastic. I need to see if Kevin or anyone else in this area could use one also since they have to come by truck and the shipping would be the same for 2 or 3 pads.

Kevin probably needs enough so you can do a drop shipment.

Kevin can't afford any. He has spent all his money on cars lately. Maybe we can all chip in and buy him one.

Have had these pads for a few months. The pad required a slight trim and the holes did not line up quite right. Some minor modifications and the pad looks great. Way better than the old crap that they used to sell...BKH

So the molded ones are "correct", and the flat ones are incorrect?
