I like Centerforce..Easy pedal pressure but still holds.

Re: what brand of clutch
I used the stock clutch, and an NOS pressure plate. I use mine the same as you are planning to, and figured that the tires would blow off before the clutch would slip - they do https://www.yenko.net/ubb/smilies/burnout.gif

Re: what brand of clutch
Our COPO car ran in excess of 160K miles with the stock clutch assembly. We changed out the disc at 90K but it would have run a lot longer. This was with street tires. Aftermarket isn't always better. Centerforce clutches don't seem to survive any better than the rest on the drag strip according to friends who race. The stock clutch in or L78 car works fine as well.
Although it isn't good for showing, a scatter shield is good foot insurance. These engines do rev. [Edited by Keith Tedford (02-13-2002 at 06:59 PM).] |
what brand of clutch
I am restoring my L78 big block in my 69 chevelle. What clutch should I install? I want to show the car and ocasionally run through the gears.
