muncie shifter
what do i need to do to change a hurst shifter from a Super T10 to M21? It looks like it would work if I changed the levers and backing plate.

A good Question....Stefano? care to help?

Re: muncie shifter
Shor,
We were going from an after market Hurst Comp plus back to a factory original. The rods on the non original shifter were beefier and the shifter was mounted a couple of inches forward and used a different mounting bracket. I regularly swapped T-10s for Muncies back when correct wasn't a concern and I was always able to get everything lined up without cutting the tunnel, But I do not remember the sequence of which parts to use. |
Re: muncie shifter
Give Hurst a call and get the install kit...as long as you have the shifter part# I'm sure they can get you one in a day or 2.

Re: muncie shifter
Stefano,
Will the aftermarket shifter bracket work for the orginal shifter and linkage? I talking about Hurst comp shifters on a 69 Camaro with a Muncie. [Edited by 69L89396 (03-03-2002 at 10:08 PM).] |
Re: muncie shifter
It is my opinion that with the after market mounting plate the original Rods will be too long in standard form, but not certain.
I would try calling Hurst like Belair62 recommended. |
Re: muncie shifter
