Found the following '68 Harrell Chevy II photograph's posted on the Webshots.com website. Not sure who the owner of this GEM is, but it doesn't appear to be Ray's. Kim?

That's Mark Fuss' car in AZ. It's not one of the 50 COPO Novas in '68, but was a 4speed car apparently converted to an L88 by Harrell. I think it was purchased out of Kansas or MN??

Marlin,

Just curious... even though this isn't one of the original 50 COPO cars, was it always common practice for Harrell to add his badges to conversion cars also?

Re: Harrell Nova on Webshots.com

From what I have seen, yes. I have seen Harrell cars that were tuned 396's, COPO 427's, and converted 427 cars, and all of them had the Harrell badges, and usually the little stickers as well.

Marlin that looks like a cool car. I love originals. (at least this one looks as such) Is he the original owner? Original selling dealer?

Frank;
Mark is not the orig. owner, it's not orig. paint, and I don't know where it was sold out of. I know that it was taken to Harrell for some type of conversion. I remember that there was doubt at one time as too what the conversion was, and if it was for an L88 or ??. I don't believe there is paperwork with the car, but it always had the Harrell emblems. Mark has had it for a very long time.

Hello;
These are my pics of Mark's car. He is not the original owner, no it definately is NOT for sale. If anyone has any questions on this car you can email me or else call Mark direct. He is listed in the Phoenix phone book. He will be happy to discuss this car and it's history. As for history, Mark has owned this car since 1978 and it was always in this condition, ( bench seat,t400, Alum head L-88). Mark purchased this car in Milwaukee. Mark said the person he bought the car from found it in Oklahoma sitting behind a speed shop. These pics were taken by me at the cruise on Central in Phoenix.
Bill Z.
PS. Marlin this car was NEVER a 4speed. I already told you that in the post on the Nova board. If you would like the info from the "horses mouth" so to speak, just do a search for Mark Fuss in Az on the net and call him.,

Re: Harrell Nova on Webshots.com

Sorry 'bout that, I get Mark's car confused with another '68 Fathom Blue, 427, alum. head Nova in NY, but from AZ, that is a 4speed. I tried to edit my post last week when I realized my error, but it was too late.

Marlin I dont think any 68 novas came from harrell or gibb with the metal badges only the square riveted tags. I have looked at 13 of the gibb cars and none have the badges I think there only on 69 or later cars. Kim Howie
