I get most of my nick-nacks at Ground Up Restoration in New York. I will get you a phone number when I get a chance. The Nova club now sells a sticker kit just for the Deuces, give them a call at 717-252-4192. The club also sells a lot of the little items as well, let me know if you would like me to fax you their parts list.

Re: parts

I appreciate all the information you can give me.will the decal kit show the correct places to put them?does it include all of the markings for the undercarriage?

Re: parts

No, the sticker kit only contains some of the Deuce specific stickers, mainly the spring tags, backing plate tags etc... The undercarriage markings are usually different for each car, and they have to be determined when the car is taken down.

Most of the generic stickers and labels are available through Jim Osbourn Reproductions in Georgia, they have a good catalog so the Nova specific items are easy to find.

To what level are you restoring this car? Correct headed bolts, overspray, correct plating etc?? How are the seats, the original seat covers are difficult and expensive, we have a supplier in the Pacific NW for the material. If you need exhaust, call Gardner Exhaust in New York. They are the best, and they supply the correct twin resonator single muffler system. Put the whitewall's back on too!

No whitewalls on supercars. That is where the line is drawn.

Sorry! But it's the right thing to do, that is the way the cars came, no torque thrusts and no white lettered tires - especially not the firestones. A case could be made for the Goodyears only because of one of the brochure cars, but that car was a mockup and was not a COPO. The other brochure car is a COPO and has the whitewalls.

It takes some time to grow on you, but the whitewalls look ok. Nobody's crazy about paint overspray, slightly crooked labels, smog systems, strange looking crayon markings, bright splashes of paint on suspensions, and paint runs - but you have to appreciate those items in the sense of being 'correctly restored' as well.

Here's a pic taken very soon after the orig. owner brought the car home from Grossman Chev. He still has the original window sticker!

Hey, Marlin, this time I have to agree with Belk. the "right thing to do " is not always the best, as long as you can put it back to the right way. Compare your attachment to the picture of the April 2002 feature car,(I am a little partial I must say ) Jim
