Sam;
Those are two different articles, I think. The first link is in reference to an all day testing of various cars, one of which was the ZL1 vette. One of the other cars was a COPO Nova prototype - JoeC, is this the article that you copied for me a few years ago?

Marlin,
The one I sent you was a small article on a press preview Chevy did in July or Aug of 69 in AZ. They showed the new 1970 models but since the Camaro and Corvette was late Chevy brought 1969 ZL1 Camaros and Corvettes to show off. The ZL1 Corvette drag car was there and the press was allowed to run it on Chevy's test drag strip complete with Xmass tree start lights. The press guys were running 11s all day in that Monaco Orange ZL1 Corvette. They also showed off a LT1 Nova with F41. There was also a road course setup with timming and some press guys commented that the LT1 Nova was one of the quickest cars on the road course.
I have been looking for more info on this interesting event but have not found much on it. You would think that since it was a press preview and they must have taken pictures, there would have been more articles on it.
