RED427,

I do not have my books with me, are you sure it is 3<font color="red">3</font>55712 and not 3<font color="red">9</font>55712 (Code EM)? 3955712 was a Camaro/Nova production spring. Later it was a generic replacement spring for several other codes. I could give you the weight ranges when I get back in town if you want them. G.

Re: COIL SPRINGS

3955712 was used on the following applications:

69 Camaro Code EM
12337 front spring weight range 273-340.
12367 (base eng ex. JL8) front spring weight range 193-260.
12437 (base eng with JL8) and (L48, L65) front spring weight range 179-246.
12467 (base eng with JL8) and (L48, L65) front spring weight range 97-164.

This spring replaced 3955711 Code EL and 3955713 Code EQ (one weight range higher and lower than EM) for over the counter use in March 70

70 Nova Code EM was a production spring.
I have not found a production chart or weights chart for this year. 3955712 was the replacement spring for the following:
70 Nova (4-Dr.) (350) standard suspension
70 Nova (2-Dr.) (396) standard suspension
70 Nova (4-Dr.) (396) standard suspension

Does this help? I am working on the spring calculators for the 69 Camaro. Weight ranges were dependant on the total option weight.

Hey Greg,
I think your book as a typo. A 70 396 Nova 4 door?

Re: COIL SPRINGS

That's what the book said. They spec'd the book for upgrading springs. This was from the 62-70 P&amp;A book. In the 70 Only P&amp;A book the rows were not aligned right. It looked like the application was listed as 396 with and without C.A.C. and Nova with C.A.C. But with and without air was on almost every line.
