Decking a Block without wiping out #'s

Does any of the engine builders out there know if a Block can be decked without wiping out the broach marks and #'s on the stamping pad.??? Don't know if my Block needs it yet, but I was wondering. Thanks

This is off the top of my head.
if you had the deck done on a milling machine you wouldn't have to pass over the area that's stamped. but would notice the step.

Yes,it can be done. Be sure to Document the block stampings with photos as the broach marks will no longer extend beyond the pad.

I have heard from several of the Pure Stock guys that this can be done, and we will hopefully find out soon.
