Vinyl Top Trim

Can anyone who has recently gone through the replacement or restoration process give me some insight on locating the trim on the car?

My factory vinyl top has been long gone, so I have no clip pins to go by, or no measurements to start me out with. What are the two big trim fasteners for? Are they for the rear deck? Does the trim start out in the center of the corner of the windshield opening or more toward the drip rail? I think if i could get some measurements from the drip rail in the front, near the where the quarter window chrome meets the drip rail, the end of the drip rail in the rear, and maybe a couple other places along the corners of the back window, I think I can get started.

My L89 car is ready for the new top, maby I can send you some pictures so you can get the idea on the corners. If all of the studs are gone for the clips like my car was you can use the clips I have, they come with a special screw to make the clip work properly when installed.I think mine came from Ricks or Classic Camaro. You do need to buy the chrome tho because with it you can even get a better idea.
