Has anybody installed one of these old style bars in their camaros? I have two of them and I have a 69 Z/28,can't get either one to fit in the car. Any suggestions, Wayne

Not a expert on them but remember reading somewhere, that they were universal and had diff mount kits, for diff makes of cars, maybe they do not have a Camaro mount kit on them?, is it a old red one.

Re: lakewood 3 pt rollbars
My 67 Camaro had a Lakewood roll bar in it that was removed when the car was restored. The guy gave me the roll bar when I purchased the car. The bar has flanges that bolt to the floor of the car that would have to be correct for a 1st gen Camaro. Maybe you have the wrong flange set?

Thanks guys for the interest, I have a old school 69 Z with a blown DZ and some old style Torque Thruster's. I will try contacting Lakewood. Wayne

I would not waste your time. I tried several years ago. Lakewood moved several times since these bars were made. Also most people working there have no idea what you are talking about(it's not in the latest catalog) and of course it is too much trouble to go looking. I will look in my old Lakewood catalog tomorrow and post the part number for the 67-69 Camaros. |
