Rare nose strip on a 1968 Camaro
I always wondered about the 68 Camaro stripe on the one in the Hooper,Camaro recoginition guide on page 112.Has anyone ever seen one on a car or do you know the colors it fades from and to,looks like 5 diffrent colors?

I saw this stripe a long long time ago......Was blue to green if I remember correctly.Looked like a color fade through the light spectrum.Pretty neat effect, though it was not faded as nice as a air brush.Looked more like a tape stripe.

Thanks 68l30,by the way from your name I would guess you have a 68-L30 car? I have a 67 L30 Convertible with a munci and tach and gauges F41 and several other options and RS option, looks like these cars are starting to go somewhere in value.

Here is a shot from the revised printing ( after 1-68 ) of the 68 dealer promo. It notes:"Five bands at front in varying shades of a similiar color. Shades available with red, blue, green, and bronze exterior colors".

Steve, thanks for posting a picture of your car. It looks great! I have a friend that has a twin to yours and he could not decide whether to put the black top on it or not. Now I have something to show him as to how his car will look..........RatPack..............

Re: Rare nose strip on a 1968 Camaro
Anyone know if this multi-color stripe ever appeared on a 67 Camaro? I owned a original paint 67 years ago and it had a black, dark blue and light blue tape stripe on the nose. It was definitely different from the common RPO D91 Bumble-Bee stripe. I bought the car from a Doctor who only owned it 9 months. I have no reason to believe he added the additional stripes.
