69 camaro subframe repair

i am looking for a way to repair the 'belly' of my 69 camaro subframe. it is all dented from being jacked up under that spot over the years. can this be repaired (bodyman) or should i start looking for a new subframe?

I have cut out, replaced or rebent the bottom section and welded it back on. Unfortunately, unless you are going to do this yourself, it is likely less expensive to replace the subframe. Finding one that is not bent as well can be difficult though.

Re: 69 camaro subframe repair

I went through something similar with my 67 Camaro. I called around to a handful of local shops that specialized in frame repair and picked one out over the phone. The guy did a nice job, straightened everything out and even went the extra effort to replace the factory-original welds with similar "workmanship". I was super happy with the result. I think the whole experience cost around $350. Note that this amount did not include media blasting the subframe and then repainting it later.

I have repaired several dozen frames by cutting out the section hammering out the dent and welding it back in and with the proper tools this repair only takes a few hours.
