Got question for ya.I used to live in GR back in the 60's until the early 70's.I used to work at Kelvinator.I was nineteen and still living at home with money to burn.I wanted a 70Z/28.The 71's were just out and Berger had one 70 left(ctirus green) didn't like the color. There was another Chevy dealer in GR named KOOL.They had a 70 Daytona yellow that I liked but it was an auto,so I passed.I ended up buying my 70 at Chuck Brinks Corvette. It only had 900 miles on it.I still have this car. What I want to know is KOOL still around? Kool is very much still is business, on 28th street as Berger. Quite a large facility, but I cant tell you a whole lot about it as any Chevy business I do is and will be at Berger. I always thought their dealership emblem was kind of Kool though!

You're thinking of Classic on 28th past 131. Kool is over on Plainfield. I bought my SS at Kool because Berger didn't have anything but V6's and 2 hard top SS' at the time I was looking. I had to have T tops and a 6 speed. If I didn't want the car so bad I wouldn't have bought it there. The sales guy and finance guys were great but the sales manager or whoever the guy was(at least he thought he was in charge) wouldn't let me test drive the car unless I bought it and wouldn't even start it up for me to hear the SLP dual/dual exhaust because it was in the showroom. He proceeded to tell me that if I wanted the car I better act fast because there was a lot of activity on it. He acted like I was a punk kid(27 when I bought it last July) and was just dreaming. I proceeded to tell him to write it up then, just to prove him wrong(I already made up my mind I wanted the car as soon as I pulled up and saw it on the showroom floor). I had a much better experience when I bought a new truck at Berger back in 2000. I have my SS serviced at Berger because it is closer to me and they have a lot more Camaro experience and nicer facilities. I wouldn't deal with Kool again if I had to, simply because of the sales managers attitude.

Yep you are correct, I forgot about classic, that just goes to show my business is at Berger.
