I may be wrong here, but this guy claims orig engine, has a Oct build date with a cast date of April 70.?? (don't know if that date is the heads or block) but either way, seems like something ain't stirring the kool aid here. |

My '69 BM Camaro is a 10E build and is stamped X22D80, so looks like they used them up to the end of the production year.

Wouldn't the trim tag you posted be very close to the start of the use of the X-codes. |

Stefano, the "X" codes started December 1968 I believe in the second week.

So whats with the 05A Camaro with no X code? Just a fluke i would guess... [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif[/img] Never saw a Norwood car built after December 68 without one... until now!
