Did Motion build motors for the Mike Fons 1967 Camaro? It ran A/MP with some success. Thanks.

He was one of the MSC member racers that used Motion to tweek their engines with Motion Performance Dyno-Proven/strip tested products.----

JoeG Thanks for the great period pictures of Mike Fons and the Camaro. It is clear that the "Motion" power spread far beyond the east coast!

Dick Arons built most of the motors for Mike Fons. Wally Booth later hooked up with Aron and became partners. They were part of that mid west connection Booth-Arons, Maskin and Kanners and Mike Fons of the Rod Shop. I don't know how much of a part Motion had with them. I would say Dick Arons was the main man at that time for Fons. I even think that Mike Fons had a deal with Dickie Harrell at one point. Motion , was one of the several who contributed to the success of Mike Fons camaro--As it says on the side--Dick Arons racing engines--Auto research head work--- M/P [ which could consist of proven tech advice or use of Motion Performance parts ,in the areas of Dyno tuning, suspension, traction bars/shocks, distributor/ignition, jetting, tire combinations, carb/manifold combinations etc.]---Some of these Motion setups/parts were used on Mike Fons camaro.------As with many winning combinations, it was a collaboration of ideas from people,who at the time, were some of the best in their field--JoeG [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif[/img] ---And of course the driver[Mike Fons] [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif[/img]
