The guy with my Dad's Camaro
I just don't know what to do anymore. If you've read some of my previous posts, you'd know that there's this kid in my home town that owns my dad's old '79 camaro, and refuses to sell the car. To make matters worse, he's added blue neons to the underside of the car! Who does he think he is, a guy from the Fast and the Furious?! I have no money, and have already offered the kid a trade, and he turned it down, and I've run out of options. I feel that his car is in slightly better condition than mine, as mine needs to be wet sanded and buffed, the plastic panels inside just don't like to hold paint well, and mine needs a new windshield thanks to a semi kicking up a rock. What should, or can, I do now?

Re: The guy with my Dad's Camaro
I feel for you bro but the only thing that you can do is cough up the dough. Do what ever you can to get the guy to sell. Hell if all else fails I know this biker who lives in Michigan who has some biker buddies that could get this guy to sell in a heart beat. He could make him an offer he won't refuse. Re: The guy with my Dad's Camaro
I hope that it doesn't have to boil down to the biker thing. I try to be friendly, and the kid is nice too, but I guess it's gonna be a bank loan for me. I hate to borrow money, but maybe I'll have to. It kinda sucks, cause I still owe money on my current car.

Re: The guy with my Dad's Camaro
Didn't you say you were something like 19? How old is the "kid" you keep referring to?

Your Dad sold it and it belongs to someone else who has teh right to do what ever he wants with it... Your own words he doesn't want to sell!! Let him know it was your dads car and if/when he decided to sell it you want 1st shot at it and move on with life. If you bug him too much you will end turning him against you. Money does talk so if you can get your hands on some, offer him more that the car is worth and let greed take over... Mind you he'll play off that too and you'll pay through the nose... |
Re: The guy with my Dad's Camaro
try selling your car first so you have the money ready when the "kid" is ready to sell.

Re: The guy with my Dad's Camaro
In regards to selling my car: I can't sell it, cause it's my only mode of transportation.
In regards to how old the "kid" is, he's probably 16 or 17 at the most. I've already talked to him numerous times about the car, and he knows that it's my dad's old car, and has said that I'd be the first one he'd sell to. He seems very nice, and seems to feel for me, but I guess he's just not in the mood to sell. If you were 16 and had a camaro, would you want to sell? I know I wouldn't. |
Re: The guy with my Dad's Camaro
I was 16 and had a Camaro. THERE WAS NOT A CHANCE IN HELL I WOULD HAVE SOLD IT. I don't blame him. Sorry Man.
