Re: 6.5 Southern Calif Quake 12/22/03
It rocked us pretty good here on the Central Coast. Some things fell of the shelf in the store I was in. Mostly minimal damage though. It was more of a rolling quake than a sharp jolt. Lasted pretty long though. A lady ran out of the store and hugged a light pole and began crying. She said it was the first quake she had ever experienced. Most of the rest of us just sat there and rode it out.

It probably started when Charley started the Yellow ZL 1 Clone up!! I hope no one else is hurt. Being in a few it is sure a freaky feeling.

I sure hope everything works out OK for all the people there, hopefully there will be no more deaths reported.I have been through a couple of floods ,a hurricane and a couple of tornados but no quakes,I was glued to the TV for days when the one hit some years back and I was amazed at the damage,Especially to the roadways the way they just collapsed on top of each other. That must be a terrifying experience to go through.Good luck to all and God Bless.

Hey everyone. I just got home late Tuesday from San Luis Obispo. Yep, I was down there during the earthquake. A whole lot of shaking but I honestly didn't think it was that big until I heard the news later that morning. My wife and I were about to get in our Tahoe and that thing must've bounced at least 2 feet vertically. It was wild, but ceratinly not scary. (But then I've lived in earthquake country my whole life.)
