Anyone remember this Chevelle from Ohio 1969-70?
1 Attachment(s)
I am the current owner of a 1969 Chevelle Deluxe 300 SS with L78 https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif that was purchased new by a gentleman named Paul Whipkey who lived in Canton, Ohio. Paul drag raced the car from 69-71, and then put the car in storage. In November 1985 Paul sold the car to Joseph Orlando in Sandyville, Ohio. The car has a Bill Thomas sticker on the left rear window. Has anyone out there ever heard of Paul Whipkey or Joseph Orlando? I will try to attach a picture of the car and the decal. The car still has the original paint so it should still look like it would have in 69. I know this is a long shot, but I never cease to be amazed by the knowledge on this site https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif!

It's a hardtop Don. You wouldn't like it. It's more my style. At least two thirds of the 300 Deluxe SS Chevelles that I have run across are L78 powered. People sort of had something in mind when they bought these cars. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif We found the original owner of ours so it can happen. Talked to two others that owned it along the way. The history really is a neat part of the car. The old stories are great, especially over a https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif.
