1969 Biscayne L-72 M-22

Posting this one for a friend. 1969 Biscayne 427 4-speed, LeMans Blue with nice original black guts, 15" dog dishes w/ redlines. Driver's door panel has had a bottom pieced onto it, otherwise unmolested original interior. Very few options on this car, but all the good ones including L-72, M-22, power steering, power brakes, and posi-traction. A very nice driver quality car, very straight and rust free original panels. Runs very strong and doesn't miss a beat, obviously well tuned for street performance and reliability, fires on the first crank. Non-original L-72 and added Hurst shifter, but the car still has it's buildsheet confirming it's original L-72 M-22 status. Supposedly one of as few as 5 or 6 M-22 optioned Biscaynes built in '69, but who knows for sure where those figures come from, an arguably rare combo for sure. Some of you may recognize this car as it was featured in MuscleCar Review magazine a few years back, and not too many others like it to mistake it for. A very rare car that's perfect for enjoying as is or for someone looking to do a little detailing to take the car to that next level. Car is located and can be inspected in Johnstown, PA. Asking $34,600. Call Jim Jr. for more details. 814-539-8282 Biscayne Pics

Very cool machine. Wish I had some bucks laying around, that would look great beside my Lemans Blue 69 two door sedan Chevelle. Good luck with the sale.

I was interested in this car when it appeared on E-Bay last fall with a Buy it Now price of $20,000. Six weeks ago the car was listed on E Bay with a Buy it Now of $28,000. No criticsm of the car intended, but springtime and the "Barrett Jackson effect" indicate that we are not yet at the peak of the musclecar market. I guess I should have stepped up to the plate a year ago. Snooze and lose https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/frown.gif Maybe in a year I will be pissed that I didn't buy it now!Good description of the car, same as the one in the magazine but not the same car. I believe the magazine car is in the midwest and is a high number restoration.Marc

[/ QUOTE ]Sorry for any discrepancies guys, I haven't seen the magazine, just the car. It's just like I said, a nice driver that could be easily be "blown out" and taken to the next level. If you have any questions about the car, just give Jim Jr. a call. He's a true gentleman and will gladly tell you anything you want to know. He's always buying and selling something, so interesting trades may be considered as well. Give him a call.

Aint that the truth... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif I keep thinking about the restored Yenko Deuce a couple years ago that no one wanted for 29k...and countless other cars that have sold for a fraction of the current market values in the not so distant past. I don't think there are too many musclecars or supercars that haven't increased in value considerably within the last couple years. Even clones seem to be selling for more than they were a year ago. As for the Biscayne, I got a chance to "test" drive this car, and it drives like a new Cadillac, and runs like a factory L72 should...a very neat car i wish was in MY garage!

FYI, Jim has told me that if anyone is serious about this car, the price can be negotiated. Don't expect to buy it for 20 grand, but he said he'll move a little.
