Super Chevy Atlanta

Did anyone attend the Super Chevy in Atlanta? The registration was all screwed up and the way the show was run left much to be desired in my opinion. What did anyone else think?

Also, what did anyone else think of the cars at this show. I felt the number of cars, other than Camaros, was less than in previous years.

Julius I went for 2 days and for sure the show this year didnt go as smoothly as the last. I too was disappointed at the number of quality cars. The did enjoy the 68Z28 with one of the original (1 of 6) Smokey Yunick crossram intakes!
I think Ill go to Bristol in a few weeks and see what they have. Kevin

I was there and the show field this year was pitiful https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/frown.gif. There were not a lot of cars out there period. I did like the 3 ZL1s though. There were more cars for sale this year than any other year I've gone though.

Those ZL 1's were clones. The only real Supercar was Chip's(golfer) COPO Camaro which is a beautiful car. It's rumored that the black Nova w/ the L 89 heads sold for $50K at the show. I was told that the Nova was an L 78 clone as well.

The black Nova with the aluminum heads was a clone for sure. The same car was at a local cruise-in in my home town in N.C. friday night. The owner had taken a down payment and was delivering the car to DEI in Mooresville saturday for the Nova national show. I talked to the owner extensively about his car and he went to my garage to look at my 68 L-78 camaro and wanted to take it home with him. The heads on the Nova were not L-89 but aftermarket aluminum heads along with the intake. In fact the car was originally a small block car. 50K for a clone makes me think my true L-78 may be worth more than I had thought. I decided to keep my L-78 Camaro https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif Kevin

Chips Z-28 with the original Smokey Yunick intake was a favorite of mine also. Here is a couple pics of it too.

The 2002 Black ZL1 was real though. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif Its the first phase III car I've seen in person. I really liked that one. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif It makes me want to hop up my Z/28. Headers and true duals are my next mods. Can't wait!!!
