It's YASGUR....the documentary that was made during Woodstock was very interesting...different times...bet there were a few Motion cars abandoned on the side of the road when the had to walk the rest of the way to the site. I think JoeG had to do that.

Belair,
You were obviously one of the unfortunate few who had the brown acid. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif

I was 18 then, and turned down tickets in favor of taking my girlfriend (now my wife) to the shore that weekend.
.....................still had a good time. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif

Two female 'friends', who actually attended the event tried to 'entice' me to go along. They drove a 63 Impala SS convertable and I was to ride 'shotgun' for them. I knew that if I missed 3 days of classes in high school, I would be in deep trouble. I was 16 at the time.

They did say that 'bad acid' was going around, but plenty of good 'weed' was there.

It was a historic event of the late 60s' and I doubt it will ever happen again.

I pass that field from time time , it's a green meadow now, a tourist attraction with a plaque /moument briefly explaining the event---There was a attempt to use the original field again for the 2nd Woodstock, but were turned down.-It was held down the road aways in another field, after it stopped raining at this one, cars were buried up to their wheels in mud,up and down the road. A friends son, that had attended it, told me the farmer was getting up to $250. to pull cars out of the mud with his tractor---Who'll stop the rain.......... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/tongue.gif

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif photo--that line of cars and people between the meadows was a dirt road, it became a huge mud slide when it started to rain as people and cars tried to leave----
