L78 Convertible
Has anyone seen the blue 1970 L78 Chevelle converible for sale at a dealer in the Chicago area? Is the car as nice as he describes?

Re: L78 Convertible
Is that the Northern Illinois Aut Brokers, or something like that?
I believe they had 2 of them. I'm no Chevy insider, but I've heard from some know-it-all that one of these cars had its invoice changed. It was an original L78 car but they added options to it. Kinda lame, if you asked me . . . |

Re: L78 Convertible
--------When I last saw the blue L78 convert at Auburn in the "for sale feild" a few years ago I went away completely unimpressed with the restoration. At that point the car belonged to some kid with too much money from Chicago. He had a bunch of gold hanging off him and it was easy to see he had become dis-enchanted with the car. Cant remember weather he sold it that weekend or not. I know he didnt sell it to a friend of mine who asked me to look it over.
--------I dont know who has it now and suspect that the resto has been freshened up a bunch, but at the time it appeared very poorly done just about everywhere.........Bill S |
Re: L78 Convertible
-------I was just informed that I may have gotten the black 375 convert and the blue one confused. I have seen both of these cars and dont wish to create any confusion so would like to step away from my statements in the post above long enough to do a bit of research. If i have this backwards I am sincerly sorry.............Bill S
