Stewart Warner Green Line Gauges

I have a good friend that just bought a factory big block 66 Elcamino with 4 speed.Really nice little truck and as I was looking I noticed it has a set of the old greenline gauges in it.They all work great.I asked my friend if he wants to sell them and he said that he would and to make him an offer. The gauges look really good but the 3 panel holder needs restored due to someone painting it .My question is this guy is a friend and I do not want to short change him but then again I do not want to pay too much. What would be a good fair offer for this set of gauges.

Thanks

Bobby Dodson

Bobby they sell on e bay all the time that would probably give you a idea on what is middle of the road for both of you..do a search under completed auctions.

2-5/8" are significantly more valuable than the 2-1/8". You can still find NOS Stewart Warner gage panels.

Here is a set of 2 5/8" gauges I sold recently. This was a very nice set.

Greenlines

I would say a fair price for ones in the condition you describe would be half of this.

Thanks guys,my friend is going to sell the Elcamino and he said if I would buy another set of gauges to replace those he would swap me,well you could imagine how fast I went to the local speed shop. The greenline gauges are the larger ones 2 5/8,the new gauges cost me 60.00 so I guess I got a good deal.

I'd say you got a deal too. Be careful not to kink or break the capillary tube on the water temp gauge when fishing it back through the firewall. They're pretty delicate.

I thought I overpaid for my 2-5/8" Greenlines when I bought them for $325.........maybe not.
