Another Crab Boat Goes Down In Alaska's Bering Sea
I'm was glad to NOT read Kevin S name involved with the below story in todays Seattle newspaper. The Alaska crab fishing occupation clearly has to be one of the hardest, most dangerous "jobs" known to man......I'm always on the lookout for news of Kevin's boats, but dont actually know there names.......Chuck S.

One of the toughest jobs on the planet! Doesn't matter how much they make, always risking your life. I love Alaskan King Crab though.

Re: Another Crab Boat Goes Down In Alaska's Bering Sea
That's a very sad and tragic article. Based in Kodiak, AK, Kevin's fishing boats, captains and crew are among the best in the N. Pacific. The F/V Lady Alaska and F/V Arctic Discovery are, I believe, 2 of the 3-4 crabbing boats in his fleet.
Tight lines and favoring seas, Kevin. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif SS |
Re: Another Crab Boat Goes Down In Alaska's Bering Sea
Wasn't there recently an Oil Tanker that breached off the Alaskian coast in the last few weeks?
I remember seeing them corraling the Oil on the local News here before X-mas,but then heard nothing more of it? |
Re: Another Crab Boat Goes Down In Alaska's Bering Sea
The shipped that grounded recently in Alaska that broke in two was a GRAIN Hauling ship. The spilled oil was from its own fuel tanks. It was full of corn or wheat having been loaded in Tacoma, WA. As bad as any spill can be, it was not a OIL tanker such as the Exxon Valdez.....
