new camera developed in Japan

Japanese scientists have created a camera with such a fast shutter
speed, they now can photograph a woman with her mouth shut.

Growing up,we were always taught this could never be done.
Today my Father still stands behind that. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

Speaking of Digital Cameras, I'm interested in knowing what some of you (non professional photographers) own or are thinking about. I've been looking at several of the Canons, but havent pulled the trigger yet.......

I like the Canon brand. I have an older one, a A20 which is 2 megapixels. Very good camera never a problem. I like that they use AA batteries. You can buy rechargeables fairly cheap and if the rechargeables ever run out while your shooting you can use any AA as a backup.

The coolest thing about shopping for a digital is that there are no surprises with the photo quality. I used a few websites that review cameras. It was a huge help. www.dpreview.com was the one I used the most.

I will be upgrading to more pixels eventually and I will stick with Canon.

Ask Mr70 how he likes his. He just bought a Canon.

Chuck, about a year and a half ago I upgraded to a Canon Powershot S400. Very pleased to date - lots of features and quality levels for stills, and very good video for the money. It is also "very small" which is a good feature in my opinion.

Chuck,

I've owned digital cameras for 10 years or so. I've had HP, Canon, Kodak and a few others.

I just bought a new camera for CHristmas. It's a Fuji Fine Pix S5500 Zoom.

I like the fact that it can be fully automatic(camera picks best exposure, etc.) or you can go fully manual, overriding the shutter and/or aperature. You can also do burst photography (multiple frames per second) and record video with sound (up to the limit of your storage card-unlike other cameras that have a preset limit for video capture)...

You are also able to screw on filters to the front of the camera..which is a plus!

Here's what the camera looks like:

I bought it at Best Buy..with the extra storage card it was $440.00.

Just my two cents.

Okay Charlie, now we wanna' see a picture of your wife's face after you told her this joke! You did tell her this joke, didn't you? I'd tell my wife this joke but I think I'll wait until after she's cooked dinner...
