BE REAR Needed

Going Back to Day 1. I need Exhaust manifolds, BE Rear, Chambered exhaust system, Smog system, Bellhousing, Distributor. I have contacted "Heartbeat City" on several occasions but apparently they are too busy to do business with me, so I ask all of you out there to let me know what you have that can help bring this COPO back to Stock form. The Car was made the First week of May 1969. 427 with 4 speed Transmission. are these parts available in Reproduction and if so by whom? Thanks for the avalanche of assistance I soon expect to file in! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Are you going to keep the car, or resto it back to day 1 for future sale?

Gardner Exhaust is the best unit for exhuast. Manifolds, and other small parts-- check Hemmings, e-bay for units. BE rear call HeartBeatCity. I cannot see Jim throwing business away like that? You sure you had the right number?

Add 1 pair of GM tail lights to that list. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif

Check with Gardner for the exhaust, but are you sure it should have chambered? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

[/ QUOTE ]I can never get Jim on the Phone. some Kid always takes my message and says they'll "Get Back To me"!! why advertise something if it is not for sale? Life is too short to be frustrated. I gave them about 4 phone calls in the last 2 months not wanting to be a pest. Maybe one of his friends will pick up on these tales and he might get the message. April BE Rear JIM!!!!

[/ QUOTE ]I will have to check and see about that. I know it did not have chrome tips when new as it is a First week of May Build. Back when they were Reverse light Delete that week!!

Heartbeat City is a late bloomer, but finally found $$$$$$ EBAY. Maybe they are changing there business model....and directing the efforts toward EBAY and the reproduction of misc high dollar parts ????????

Re: BE REAR Needed

I believe your car is to late for the chambered exhaust. Somebody correct me but I think the chambered was not put on any factory cars (Z/28, L-78, etc..) after December 1968 and was completely phased out as an option sometime around April 1969.
I also believe that the correct exhaust for your car would be the crossflow single muffler with 2 resonators before the axle. Sometime between Dec 1968 and Apr 1969 the exhaust was just the single crossflow without resonators.

Anyone?? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif
