Re: Speaking of 70 Baldwin/Motion Chevelles...

So does Joel Rosen autograph stuff the same way Carroll Shelby does? My impression of Joel Rosen is that he guards his legacy very carefully and for him to sign someone's sun visor, basically lending a hint of authenticity to a car owner's claim of Motion heritage, seems to me to be out of character--unless the car really does have Motion heritage. Not slamming the car, just asking the question.

I'd love to have this car if it was less than 20K*. It'd be a fun Day 2 driver with a few changes. (Americans, belted Wide Ovals, etc.)

*Remember when cars like this could be had for less than 3K back in the late '70s? Oh well!

thats what I was thinking.... At least the seller is being honest and not trying to pass the car off as a real B/M. .. But whos to say if the next owner won't attempt something shady https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/confused.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/confused.gif

-------Mike is a good guy and honest. It kind of surprises me that he would fool with this car. He must have taken it in trade on something else. He is a real originality type guy as many of his past Corvettes would attest. I woild be willing to bet that whoever traded the car to him told him the signature was indeed Mr. Motions. Does it seem feasable that a past owner just faked the sig.? How many people would even know what Rosens sig. would look like?............Bill S

I don't see a big deal..Joel probably signed a cool car somewhere...can there be anyone stupid enough to take a signed visor as proof of a real car down the road !!
