Identifying a 1970 Z28
There's a Camaro on Ebay that the seller is claiming to be a Z28. I've owned two of these cars in the past and the only indicator that this car has, as far as I can tell, are the stripes (not a good indicator). I contacted the seller and asked him if he was sure the car was a real Z and he said that the "N" in the VIN showed that the car was a true Z. Has anyone ever heard this before? Is this a true way to indentify a 1970 Z28?

Re: Identifying a 1970 Z28
Why don't you give us the ebay item # . The N just means it is a Norwood car. Is the gas pedal bolted to the floor or hanging ?

Well it is a Camaro...... Ok perhaps the seller is a little challanged in the listing department. Get a photo of the Trim tag. That will do it.
The Fan shroud is standard small block without AC. If I were guessing I would say it started life as a regular Camaro. Phil |

I realize the picture is blurry, but isn't that a 10 bolt rear?
"he said that the "N" in the VIN showed that the car was a true Z" Havent' heard that one since 1976. Lynn |
