Does anyone know this car? 1969 L-78 Camaro

Hi all,

I'm looking for info on my 69 L-78 Camaro. I purchased this car back in '97 and drove it as is for a year before I put it storage while I restored my 68Z and 70Z. The history as I have it is it was drag raced in the DE, NJ and PA area in the 70's on and when the tranny and rear blew it was put in storage. The details are as follows: VIN: 124379N635221, X22, BUILD DATE: 04C,FRONT PAD: T0305JH, VIN ON BLOCK: 19N635221, M-22, VIN ON TRANS: 19N635221, REAR END: BV0402G2 CODE 4:10, BURGUNDY with RED HOCKEY STICK STRIPES, CONSOLE, CLOCK, AM RADIO, BLACK DELUXE INTERIOR, BLACK TOP, RALLY WHEELS, FRONT & REAR SPOILERS. It has 63K original miles on it.

It will be getting a frame of resto in the fall and I'm trying to track down as much info and history as I can.

It still has the PA state inspection sticker on the windsheild from '74 (which I was told is the last time it was registered), the original interior, all the origianl sheet metal. I have the blown tranny and I purchased back the original rear that was later put into a '56 Chevy. When I bought the car in '97 it was given a fresh coat of burgundy paint.

Any info would be appreciated and I can supply more info or pictures as necessary.

Nils

Hi this car was bought by John Desantis of Newport some years back. I looked at this car back when the Owner had this car in the early eighties. He at that time claimed it had a Disc Brake rear as it was Sitting in his Garage with NO REAR under it. It was sold like that. John restored the car in the Mid Nineties and sold it due to a Divorce. I can Still Contact him.Jim

I bought the car from John DeSantis in '97 but I lost track of him after the divorce. If you have any contact info for John please let me know.
