Hey Nova Guys... Look Here!
My brother is looking for a nice little cruiser. He has sorted out some cars and this is what he has come up with.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...item=4573256542 Its a nice little Nova. The rear 1/4 has been halfed. The current owner bought the car from a man who did the resto work prior to going into war. I think it looks sharp with the silver on black with a black hat. Let me know what you think. As always... THANKS! -Dan |
Re: Hey Nova Guys... Look Here!
Looks good. A guy here in Ontario Canada just picked up a 68 or 69 SS396 375 hp L78 for 16,000 Canadian which is 13,465.75 US dollars. The car screams up the street like the driver hates it.

If he really hates it I'll buy it off him for $16,001 CDN. Martin |
Re: Hey Nova Guys... Look Here!
I want to know more about the bigger styling detailing cues of the car...
Correct grill? Door panels? Seats? Bumpers? Willma's, Frank, Joe, Steve... Anything? We can go over numbers, thats no issue. We'll see how the auction plays out. Thanks. |
Re: Hey Nova Guys... Look Here!
The shifter is an over the counter Hurst unit and the kick panels have been butchered for speakers. The die cast eyebrows outboard of the headlights need to be painted black except the for the two ribs that should be left bare to correspond with the grille. The driver's seat bottom looks like it's separating at the seams, but that's not really a big deal. It's hard to tell just by the pic, but I think the wheels may be 15" reproductions. Outside of these few details it looks like a decent little Nova. Good luck.

Re: Hey Nova Guys... Look Here!
Big Block Novas sure have become popular...hard to tell about fit and finish quality from these photos. You have to see it in person to really tell. Lot's of a little stuff: shifter, kick panels, rear shocks, no jack, interior looks a little "worn". My biggest concern is the amount of surface rust you see underneath on hardware and exhaust. A little too much for a car that has been "restored" in the last year. But all that doesn't mean much if the car has all the original drivetrain and most of the dated parts...the cosmetic stuff just takes time. I didn't see any mention of paperwork...??? Color combo is strong! Look's like a car that is worth checking out in person. Maybe I'll have a look... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/burnout.gif
