Way Cool 60 Impala on eBay - 4K miles
Even if a 60 Impala isn't your favorite car, this thing is awesome
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1960-Impa...1QQcmdZViewItem Love the documentation and the original keys with the little original license tags https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif |
Re: Way Cool 60 Impala on eBay - 4K miles
Reminds me of Bob Seger singing about what he did
"...in the back seat of my '60 Chevy..." |

------That, my friends is a whopper of a car!!!!! I would love to own it. Appears to have a bit of extra detailing under the hood, but still a piece of work..........Bill S

Bill,
That's not just an extra bit of detailing under the hood, That's totally restored from the firewall forward. |
Re: Way Cool 60 Impala on eBay - 4K miles
I live about 20 miles from where that car was sold new. Too bad they touched under the hood.

Re: Way Cool 60 Impala on eBay - 4K miles
Verne,,,,,I was being the kind, compassionate Bill S!!!! I actually dreamed about this car last night. Dreamt I made it into a 4spd, 350hp/tri-power car. Why not, its already been messed with, right????............Bill S
P.S.-----Verne, I was actually wondering about the battery cables. Correct or not,,,you would be the guy to ask. |
Re: Way Cool 60 Impala on eBay - 4K miles
Judging from those license plates, either the car and or the tags were stolen in 1963-a beauty though.

Re: Way Cool 60 Impala on eBay - 4K miles
Yeah...the license plates don't match the registration or the cool key fobs... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Re: Way Cool 60 Impala on eBay - 4K miles
Bill,
I noticed the battery cables too, but didn't comment on them. They are wrong. They should be spring-rings. The negative is brown, which would be correct, and no over the counter replacements are brown, so I'd guess the originals have had new clamps put on them. With all of the rest of the "restoration" that's been done under the hood, you'd think they (he) would have just stepped up for a set of repro cables with the correct ends. Sure is a nice looking car though... Verne PS: Also note the tailpipe tips... |
