My search is over!
Praise the LORD! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif
Patience has apparently paid off...just when I was on the verge of switching gears on what car I would go after! Just put a deposit on a `67 Chevelle Super Sport project car. I should have it here within the next 10-14 days, depending on when the transport company is coming through Ohio next. I feel like a kid on Christmas eve LOL! The basic details: Legit 138 car, has drivetrain but in unknown condition (engine/trans don't really matter, just hoping the 12 bolt is still under the car!), missing some peripheral items, but I can work with that. Interior seems to be there, just needs some attention. The best part? The car is 100% rust-free and still wears all it's original body panels! It's currently suede (i.e. "primer"), but it's what's underneath that suede finish that makes me happy. Any dents and dings I find, I can deal with...beats welding in replacement panels any day of the week! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif Just in time for winter too lol! If all pans out, I'm hoping for a spring debut. So much for getting a decent night's sleep for the next 2 weeks haha https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smirk.gif HUGE thanks to ALL who emailed, PM'ed and called with potential leads, it was, and is GREATLY appreciated. That's why this place rocks. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif Eric |
Re: My search is over!
What color was it originally,Marina Blue?
Post some pics when you get it...does sound like a great winter project. |
Re: My search is over!
Not sure what the original color was at this point. I might stick with it, I might not...I have a fondness for tuxedo black, capri cream and butternut yellow, so those are the likely choices if I decide to go with something different from the trim tag.

Re: My search is over!
Just DO NOT use DAS to trnasport the car....walk there and pull it home with a chain if you have to...better than DAS...

Re: My search is over!
Really, I ship with DAS to Hawaii a few times a month and have never had trouble. They are more of a broker for Horizon lines though since they car never goes on a truck.

Re: My search is over!
They probably broker everything...they suck IMO...enclosed means...whenever it gets there on the flatbed tow truck you should be satisfied !!
