Yenko Deuce found in Fla

Well after a year my Yenko Deuce hunt has been solved. It turns out the car I thought I found last year was sold a while back to some guy out west. I just talked to the ex-Florida owner and he knew what he had, said he bought it for $6000 and sold it for around $12,000. But he said it was rusted to hell and back and he thought it might require a re-body. I not sure about that as I did'nt see the car in person. Aparently the reason it appeared still unfound to me was probably because the new owner had not transfered the Florida title yet? It still shows active on the Fla Title d-base.?!

The Deuce was a Cranberry, 4 spd, vin-W350981. I guess you guys probably had talked about it on here on Supercars but I somehow missed it. This one should be updated on the Vin list as found. oh well, better luck next time for me....I'm a day late...again. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/frown.gif

Is the name of your town really Taintsville?

Well not actually, I live in a small burg right near to the real town of Taintsville. It taint Oviedo and it taint Chulota, as the locals say. Those are the two towns that Taintsvilles in between. Taintsville is actually two signs about 1000 feet apart on a local highway with about three small farms in between, strange but true. A cooler name than my town so I use it.

Does the ex-Florida owner own a body shop?

I doubt that he does. He bought it to restore but he sold it when he needed some dough. He said he wishes he would of kept it because he probably will never have the opportunity to have another. His description made it sound like it was a real hulk. I did'nt ask him if it had the original engine, trans, or rear. I'm guessing, but I got the impression that it likely didn't. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

That car is alive and well and owned by Gene Engler in Ia.There's pics of it at the 04 reunion. It had a few rust issues, but not to bad compared to some of the stuff we see. Still has the original CBW rear. Was originaly sold from Fencl tufo.
The car was owned by a body shop owner in Port St. Lucie Fla. He bought it, thought it would take to much time to fix, and flipped it. She then made her way to deuce heaven here in Ia. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif
Nice catch Mike. Until you mentioned body shop I didn't even think of it being the same car.
