Re: 1964 GTO Trim Tag decode

If they are the same codes as Chevrolet cars I believe it is the following:
1W= Tinded windshield
2K= A/C
2M= Powerglide
2G= Console
2p= Remote Mirror

5N- GTO code

Can anyone verify this. I have the PHS docs ordered but want to have an idea now. If the engine option is not on the trim tag does that make it the base GTO engine?

Thanks again,

Jason

Is there a site to go where you can decode pontiac info like Colvin's CBTN? I spied a '69 GTO last week, and need to check out the codes. A 500KR rotting away finally got a tarp thrown over it https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/rolleyes.gif

Try the Pontiac Fourm. They are similar to the Team Camaro site where they have a fourm for the cars with Tag Team section

Got the PHS report today. It is a Lemans, GTO clone.

No kidding. Thanks Jim. Your service are invaluable. I think you should raise your rates. I'd pay.
